VSL Achieves Accreditation for LED Light Flicker Measurements under European Ecodesign Directives. The National Metrology Institute is now among the first institutes worldwide capable of calibrating and validating light sources against European ecodesign requirements for flicker.

European report: Every euro invested in metrology generates more than four euros in economic growth

A new report from EURAMET quantifies the economic value of its research programmes: the completed EMRP and EMPIR programmes and the ongoing Metrology Partnership. The analysis shows that every euro of EU funding under EMRP and EMPIR generates more than four euros in additional turnover for the economy. A similar impact is expected from the current programme.
