My recap of Gas Analysis Paris 2026
Two key insights: rising demand for reliable gas measurement comparisons and strong appreciation for our proficiency tests.
I recently attended the Gas Analysis event in Paris, where I had the opportunity to present VSL’s world‑class proficiency tests for gas analysis. The exhibition brought together experts, practitioners, and innovators — the perfect setting to share knowledge and listen to what the industry needs.
Two insights I gained in Paris
1. Demand for independent, reliable comparison of gas measurements is increasing rapidly.
In many conversations, it became clear to me that organizations want more than just data, they want measurements that are accurate, traceable, and comparable. With gas analysis playing a crucial role in safety, energy, emissions, and process control, proficiency testing is increasingly used as a strategic tool to manage risks, support compliance, and improve measurement performance.
2. There is strong appreciation for VSL’s proficiency tests.
It was encouraging to hear how positively people responded to our approach. The feedback confirmed that VSL’s expertise and infrastructure are highly valued worldwide and make a real difference in strengthening trust in measurement data.
Besides that, the event was a fantastic networking opportunity. I had engaging discussions with professionals who brought new ideas and real‑world challenges to the table — resulting in a substantial number of leads and opportunities that we’ve already begun following up on.
All in all, Paris delivered: great energy, valuable insights, and strong momentum to keep raising the bar in gas analysis.
