First calibration for the European Center for Flow Measurement

Metrology Support for Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (MetCCUS)
This project will focus on the development of the metrology infrastructure required for monitoring CO2 produced and lost within an industrial process through the development of new traceable facilities, including primary flow standards to enable calibration, as well as validation of systems capable of quantifying CO2 leaks from pipelines, transport (e.g. shipping) or storage sites.
Metrology in the digital age: where cows, renewable energies and data science meet
Digital transformation is everywhere and therefore also in metrology. Not only does metrology play a role in the digitization of many processes in industry and society, metrology itself is also digitizing. That is why this year’s theme for World Metrology Day is ‘Metrology in the Digital Age’.
VSL develops gas standards for portable emission measurement system (PEMS)
European legislation sets strict limits on nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PN) emitted from vehicle exhaust, as both are a major source of air pollution and are hazardous to human health. Emission tests with real car journeys have recently been introduced in the EU to provide a more realistic picture of these vehicle emissions.
Renewal of the declaration of equivalence with NIST
