SuperGPS project nominated for Computable Awards 2023<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The <\/span>SuperGPS-project<\/span><\/a> has been nominated for a Computable Award 2023, in the <\/span>Partner project <\/span><\/a>category. We are very proud of this nomination, which results from a wonderful collaboration with TU Delft and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. As we explained on <\/span>BNR Nieuwsradio<\/span><\/a>: SuperGPS is a new positioning system that is more robust and accurate than GPS, even in urbanised areas. This system can achieve an accuracy of ten centimetres and is applicable to various time- and location-dependent applications, such as automated driving cars and next-generation mobile networks.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, much of our infrastructure uses satellite navigation systems such as the US GPS and European Galileo. However, the signals from these systems are relatively weak and can be inaccurate when blocked or reflected by buildings.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ‘SuperGPS project’ by researchers at TU Delft, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and VSL offers a solution to these problems. A reason for the jury of the Computable Awards 2023 to nominate the project.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
