Registration for the Interlaboratory Comparison of gauge blocks round 2 is open until 1 July 2018

VSL’s interlaboratory comparisons for dimensional metrology enable laboratories to check their measurement proficiency, thus building confidence in their reported results. Participation in a program of this kind is a precondition for laboratory accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and is even more important as an investment in reliability, continuity and staff confidence.

VSL has extensive experience with geometric calibrations, due to its activities in this field for decades. Our scope currently extends to 60 different classes and measurands, ranging from laser measurement systems to flatness, straightness and from gauge blocks to diameter and roundness. Our measurement results and calibration certificates are recognized worldwide.

This summer VSL will organize a comparison for the calibration of gauge blocks. VSL will send 10 gauge blocks in the range of 1.5 mm to 300 mm for the participants to calibrate.

Evaluation will occur against international reference values determined by VSL, the Dutch Metrology Institute.

Via a balanced schedule and tight planning, we enable up to 10 to 15 labs to participate in the comparison, thus ensuring lower costs. Each participant gets two to three weeks to conduct measurements and report the results.

Participating in this comparison is possible until 1 July 2018.
